SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Football season may have just kicked off, but basketball season will be here before you know it.

On Wednesday, Notre Dame announced a new event to kick off their men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

The Irish will host the “Irish Jam presented by Under Armour” on Friday, Oct. 3.

A half-court will be set up in the middle of Eddy Street Commons. There will be mini tournaments and fan activities before head coaches Micah Shrewsberry and Niele Ivey introduce the men’s and women’s teams.

The event will be free to the public
