ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An international app designed to cut down on food waste is making its mark on the capital region. Too Good To Go recently launched locally– partnering with restaurants to make sure leftover food reaches customers, instead of trash cans.

Zafer Ak, the Owner of Golden Grain Pizza in Colonie, said he has always been passionate about reducing food waste. his restaurant partnered with too good to go about 2 months ago. He added, "We are against food wasting. And we were looking for a resource at end of the night, like in churches, to donate food, and this was part of it. So, we can stop the waste. So that's what made us become a partner with Too Good To Go."
