ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Boeing spoke out on Wednesday about contract negotiations as the strike continues.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Boeing said they are operating on contingency plans to keep work going as the strike marks a month. The leader of Boeing St. Louis claimed almost 30% of eligible voters didn’t vote on the most recent contract.
Boeing said the best offer is still on the table as the strike continues for the fifth week. They also said that the deal offered to St. Louis workers should not be compared to deals won by workers in other cities like Seattle.
According to Boeing, no talks with the union are scheduled. Workers on strike have made it clear that Boeing has to improve their offer, including a $5,000 signing bonus that the company took off the table.
