GILBERT, Ariz. — Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is holding a town hall event in the East Valley to hear from patients who have had health claims denied by insurance companies.
The listening session is intended to be an opportunity for medical providers and patients to share experiences of how claim denials have impacted health care delivery.
"When claims are denied, Arizonans either go without the care they need, or they suffer under exorbitant out of pocket costs. I'm inviting Arizona health care providers, patients, and their loved ones to join us and share their experiences," the attorney general said in a statement.
The event will be held on Monday, Sept. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at the Maricopa County Southwest Regional Library in Gilbert, located near Guadalupe and Greenfield roads
