TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Monsoon storms brought danger for those with dry plants and trees near their homes. The power of Mother Nature uprooted trees and forced some tree limbs to come crashing down.

During the cleanup on Thursday, the chainsaw was a welcome sound for homeowners like Lisa Zeschke.

“The whole thing where it splits, got to come off,” she said to a crew working in her backyard.

Several large branches snapped in a big tree in the backyard of her Tempe home. The damage was left behind from last week’s monsoon storm .

“I felt all the winds come through and then it went dark. I looked out and I heard all the cracking of the limbs,” recalled Zeschke.

“Looked like it was punched, so these limbs are all over the place. It makes it extremely dangerous,” said Alex Carey, owner
