GLENDALE, Ore. - Firefighters are making strides in containing the Dads Creek Fire, which spans 145 acres about 5 miles west of Glendale. According to the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF), containment efforts have increased to 60%.

Crews are focused on a 150-foot perimeter mop-up, with continuous 24-hour operations expected to persist for several days. The Douglas Forest Protective Association (DFPA) is providing round-the-clock support to ensure the safety of approximately 130 firefighters and personnel.
