CORVALLIS, Ore-- It was not the 'Beaver Standard' that was put on display during the team's opening Week One loss to California last Saturday.

The offense was inconsistent, the defense lacked communication and while team showed grit and a desire to bounce back midway through the game, the performance was not up to the players or the coaches' standards.

Over the last few days of practice, leading up to the program's meeting with Fresno State this coming Saturday, the Beavers have been focused on returning to their roots.

"What we want to see you this week is we wanna see our guys be who they are," said Co-Defensive Coordinator Rod Chance. "We wanna see the culture on tape. We wanna see us playing physical. We wanna see our calling card, which is our effort showing up each and every time.
