NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WFSB) - A police cruiser was struck by a state vehicle after it was stolen from the DCF office in New Britain.

State police said they responded to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families office in New Britain after a report of a stolen state vehicle.

The vehicle was being tracked and was found abandoned in New Britain after crashing into a state police cruiser.

The New Britain Police Department assisted state police in taking a suspect into custody.

No state police personnel were injured in the crash.

State police are investigating.
