EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Police in Evansville say they've arrested two men following an investigation into the armed robberies of a Plato's Closet store and a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant Tuesday evening.

According to a release from the Evansville Police Department , around 7 p.m. on Sept. 2, officers were called to the Plato's Closet located in the 600 block of North Green River Road following a report of a holdup in progress.

Police were told an armed man was attempting to rob the store and reportedly fired one shot inside the store before fleeing the scene.

When officers arrived, they were informed that the same suspect had robbed a nearby Chuck E. Cheese restaurant , also allegedly firing a shot inside.

Eventually, officers located the suspect, but police say he fled on foot into
