A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 6:08 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 6:45 p.m. for Eastern Douglas County Foothills.
Wind gusts of up to 30 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) are foreseen.
“At 6:08 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over South Umpqua Falls Campground, or 29 miles northwest of Crater Lake, moving north at 25 mph,” states the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.”
