A stolen state vehicle collided with a state police cruiser in New Britain on Wednesday, troopers said.

Connecticut State Police said they were called to the state DCF office after getting a report of a stolen state vehicle around 2:30 p.m.

The vehicle was tracked and when it was found, authorities said it had crashed into a police cruiser.

The car was found abandoned in the area of Fairview and Chestnut streets in New Britain, and the suspect was taken into custody, according to police.

No injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.
