ORANGE CITY, Iowa — Diamond Vogel is moving away from the retail sector as it refocuses efforts in the industrial market.
The 99-year-old Orange City-based company announced Tuesday it is "implementing a strategic transformation in its approach to the architectural coatings market." As a part of the shift, Diamond Vogel said it was divesting its company-owned retail stores that "primarily serve painting contractors, homeowners, and maintenance professionals."
Spectrum Paint is set to acquire Diamond Vogel's architectural paint business in 11 locations and "will assume operations at eight stores in central Iowa," according to Diamond Vogel.
