LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are trying to work out what happened before a gunshot victim arrived at a Louisville hospital early Thursday morning.

Just past midnight, Louisville Metro police responded to a walk-in gunshot wound victim at UofL Hospital, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers found a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. Authorities believe he will survive.

Investigators are trying to determine the exact location of the shooting.

The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation. There are currently no known suspects.
