ST. LOUIS - Police are investigating after a man was found dead Wednesday night after a shooting in north St. Louis.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting took place around 11:30 p.m. on the 5500 block of Palm Street in the city's Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man who had been shot. The man was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate. Police have not released information on any potential suspects involved in the shooting.
