It was a busy weekend for Labor Day travel as TSA screened a record high of 10.4 million passengers between Friday, August 29th and Monday, September 1st, 2025.

Friday, August 29th was the busiest travel day of the weekend, with TSA screening a total of 2,971,217 passengers. That set an all-time record for a Friday before Labor Day and ranked as the 15th busiest day in TSA’s 24-year history .

June 22nd, 2025 remains the busiest air travel day ever recorded, when TSA screened 3,096,797 passengers across the country.

June 22, 2025 – 3,096,797 passengers screened

December 1, 2024 – 3,088,836 passengers screened

July 6, 2025 – 3,041,954 passengers screened

June 23, 2025 – 2,953,920 passengers screened

June 27, 2025 – 2,935,000 pass
