HOUSTON (KIAH) — Take a look at these incredible photos capturing the Northern Lights. Witnesses reported seeing the vibrant display, with hues of pink and green, stretching across the sky from Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

Experts in space weather had previously predicted the possibility of an "Aurora Borealis" or Northern Lights appearance, following observations by satellites tracking solar activity, which detected a significant eruption on the sun's surface.
