FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (WSMV) - The Fort Campbell Army Base announced that another wave of soldiers will be deploying soon to assist with operations along the country’s southern border.

Roughly 500 soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division and other units will begin deploying in early October, according to the Fort Campbell release.

The 101st Airborne will establish a Joint Task Force headquarters and oversee units operating along the United States’ border with Mexico.
