Rays have won six straight and eight of 10 after sweeping Mariners

TAMPA, Fla. – After sweeping a three-game series at Washington and returning to Steinbrenner Field to do likewise against Seattle, the Rays find themselves only 2.5 games behind the Mariners for the third and final wild-card spot in the American League.

A team the Rays (70-69) have inched ahead of in the wild-card chase, the Guardians, are in town for a four-game series that gets underway Thursday night. Ryan Pepiot (10-10, 3.70) will be opposed by Logan Allen (7-10, 4.42). First pitch is 7:35.
