COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A Columbus lottery player is celebrating a major win after Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing.
Georgia Lottery officials confirmed that the lucky ticket — purchased at the Circle K convenience store at 5448 Forrest Road — matched four of the five white balls plus the Mega Ball. Thanks to a 3X Megaplier, the original $10,000 prize was tripled to $30,000.
The Mega Millions jackpot continues to climb, with the next drawing set for Friday at 11 p.m. ET and an estimated $336 million up for grabs.
Every lottery ticket sold in Georgia helps fund education programs across the state.
