The world feels like a giant maze with no lights on right now. We appear to have lost our way and frankly, I’m afraid it will get a lot worse before we find our way out of this murky, muddy time. I often turn to nature in these times and am rarely disappointed. Answers abound if we only know where and how to look and listen.
There are two young blue jays that were hatched and nurtured in one of the big old holly trees in our backyard. Barely past adolescence, they are still trying out all sorts of sounds and behaviors, which has served as my daily amusement over the last few weeks while working in my studio.
