CANTON, Conn. (WFSB) - The Canton Police Department is asking for the public’s help after an urn containing cremated remains was discovered along a local running trail.

Police said the urn was found behind the Canton Department of Public Works.

Officers have taken custody of the item and are working to return it to its rightful owner.
