CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Animal protective services officers are helping a kitten who was found hurt in Craven County near where another cat had been shot.
Craven County Sheriff’s Office Animal Protective Services says the kitten was rushed to the vet, who confirmed it has soft tissue damage and an upper respiratory infection. They say the kitten needs treatment and recovery support.
In a social media post, animal protective services says the kitten was discovered near where another cat was found shot earlier this week.
That cat, named Mr. Orange, ended up passing away, according to animal protective services. An investigation is underway.
Animal services is asking for donations to help pay for the kitten’s emergency treatment.
