CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A longtime Craven County commissioner has passed away, the Board of Commissioners shared Thursday.

Thomas Mark began serving the county in 2010. He represented District 1, which included much of northern Craven County.

He served four terms as chairman and two as vice chairman, according to the board. He was also on several other boards and committees, including the CarolinaEast Regional Health System Board and the Highway 70 Corridor Committee.
