Virginia State Police have arrested Jason Allen Glidewell, II, who was wanted in connection to a deadly shooting on Interstate 85.

At around 6 p.m. Wednesday, a senior special agent was contacted by an acquaintance of Glidewell. The acquaintance said that Glidewell wanted to turn himself in and he was at the Meherrin River Regional Jail in Brunswick County.

Glidewell is currently being held without bond at the jail. He is charged with second-degree murder as well as use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

At around 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 28, state police responded to the 5-mile maker on I-85 northbound for the report of a shooting. The scene was located near the exit for Mecklenburg County.
