The Sampson Center, known locally as “The Block,” has been a cornerstone of Clinton for decades, long recognized as a gathering spot and a place where basketball dominated the scene. Clinton Parks and Recreation Director Garrett Bryant has seen firsthand the role recreation centers can play in shaping young people.
