The PC MHA for Torngat Mountains is disappointed with the Labrador travel subsidy announced last week.
Lela Evans has long advocated for greater assistance for Labradorians to help with the high cost of air travel to the island for medical appointments and other essential travel.
Evans told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that the assistance announced in recent days, doesn’t go far enough to address the real costs facing Labradorians.
“And this is where it’s misleading,” says Evans “is that a person can only avail of this subsidy for two trips a year.
