Smoke and haze continue, more active fires this afternoon

Winds out of the northeast will blow smoke from Idaho and Montana into the Columbia Basin. This could lead to some temporary air quality improvements on Friday, but don't count on it.

People sensitive to smoke should treat Thursday and Friday as days to limit time outdoors as much as possible

Temperatures will start cooling, from 80s in the Idaho Panhandle to low 90s in the I-90 corridor
