HOUSTON – Multiple eastbound lanes on the Katy Freeway are blocked after an 18-wheeler overturned during a crash on Thursday morning, according to Houston TranStar.

Traffic going into downtown has been impacted on the Katy Freeway at Houston Avenue bridge.

The crash was reported at 10:02 a.m. and impacting the right shoulder, right lane, and two center lanes.

Officials said the heavy truck lost its load after striking the Houston Avenue bridge.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash.

TxDOT crews responded to the incident and working to clear debris and inspect the bridge.
