BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- There has never been a shortage of movies or television shows that have featured the story of Jesus. Only the Devil, Santa Claus and the Grim Reaper have topped his 354 appearances on the big and small screens.
How all these offerings have been different is in the approach taken to telling the story. “The Last Temptation of Christ” focused on the Crucifixion while “Barabbas” told the tale of the man who was saved instead of Jesus.
Animation also has been used including the recent “King of Kings.” The team behind that 2024 release made the film more than just another offering in the long history of faith-based productions by basing the tale on the writings of Charles Dickens. He wrote "The Life of Our Lord" for his children between 1846 and 1849 although it w
