Green Bay promotes ‘Grow Solar’ before federal tax credit ends

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The mayor of Green Bay is highlighting the final month of the “Grow Solar Green Bay” program.

President Trump’s signature legislation will eliminate the 30% federal solar tax credit at the end of the year.

The Grow Solar program has a Sept. 30 deadline for Green Bay residents to secure both group-buy pricing and the federal tax credit.

“Some of these policies are shifting, but we want to take advantage of these programs while they exist in their current forms, more importantly incentivize or make it known to folks that we have these programs available and want them to take advantage for themselves and for their families and for their pocketbooks,” Mayor Eric Genrich said.
