MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Emergency crews rescued a man after he was injured and got stuck while working on top of a stadium light fixture at a Mesa spring training field on Thursday morning.

Mesa police say a worker was stuck over 100 feet in the air at Hohokam Stadium , the Athletics’ spring training facility.

According to Mesa Fire, the employee was changing light bulbs on the stadium lights when he was struck, leaving him with a gash on his head. It’s unclear what struck the man that caused the wound, but he was unable to get down on his own.

Arizona’s Family news chopper witnessed the injured worker sitting on a metal platform at the top of the fixture, waiting for crews to reach him.
