SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - The ArkLaTex is experiencing another big taste of summer heat on Thursday. That taste will linger for one more day on Friday. A cold front this weekend will bring a chance of thunderstorms, mainly on Friday night and Saturday.

Friday Temperatures: Temperatures on Friday morning will not be as mild as they were this morning. Thanks to an increase in humidity, temperatures will end up in the low to middle 70s. Temperatures on Friday afternoon will stay above normal as we will see highs in the middle 90s. A rew upper 90s will be possible. The heat index will probably climb above 100, but stay below 105.
