SHREVEPORT, La. — LSU Health Shreveport is preparing to honor the region’s frontline heroes while raising money for critical healthcare initiatives at its annual Evening for Healers gala.

The fundraiser, now in its 14th year, will be held Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Shreveport Convention Center. The black-tie event recognizes first responders, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals who played vital roles in saving patients’ lives across north Louisiana.

Since its launch, An Evening for Healers has spotlighted 29 patient stories, honored more than 930 healthcare workers and raised more than $4 million to support LSU Health Shreveport.

Organizers say funds from this year’s gala will help advance several mission-critical projects at the academic medical center.
