The Eagles landing Micah Parsons was always a pipe dream. But hey, Howie Roseman tried.

The Eagles made a “strong play” this summer to try to acquire Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys, according to a Thursday report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter .

The Eagles called the Cowboys to see if they could trade for Parsons and bring the Harrisburg native back to Pennsylvania. But Dallas had “no interest” in dealing Parsons to a division rival, “especially to the defending Super Bowl champion,” Schefter reported.

Later on ESPN’s “Get Up,” Schefter said the Eagles were “fairly aggressive” in their pursuit of Parsons.
