Charges are pending for two men suspected of shoplifting from a Target store in Troy recently, who were subsequently found to have a stolen firearm in their vehicle along with stolen merchandise, police said.
According to the Troy Police Department, the two men and a juvenile were pulled over by officers near Coolidge Highway and Maple Road on the evening of Aug. 29 after they allegedly stole from the Target store and fled in a car. The stolen merchandise was in the car, police said, as well as a loaded Glock 26 pistol and a 30-round extended magazine. Police subsequently determined the firearm had been stolen out of Detroit.
The suspects were transported to the Troy Police Department for processing.
