After reaching the triple digits Thursday for the seventh time this summer, we’ll cool off this weekend.
Friday will still be rather hot with highs in the mid 90s and a mostly cloudy sky. A cold front will move into North Texas by Friday evening with a chance of isolated thunderstorms, which may impact some Friday evening high school football games.
Saturday will be much cooler with highs around 80. There will be some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm in the morning, but the afternoon looks dry. Sunday will be pleasant with highs in the low 80s and a low chance for a shower or storm.
Temperatures will heat back up into the 90s by mid next week.
