POLK COUNTY, Mo. — Two suspects are being held in the Polk County Jail after cattle were stolen on Wednesday, August 27.
According to online court dockets, Melvin Fincher, born 1986, of Rolla, has been charged with stealing livestock/wildlife exceeding $3,000 and prior offence or exceeding $10,000 and tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution. Annetta Tindle, born 1981, of Mount Vernon, has been charged with stealing $750 or more.
The probable cause statement says law enforcement responded to a location in Fair Play, Missouri, after a victim made a deal with Fincher to haul four cows valued at around $8,400 to Wyoming to sell.
A witness told the department that he and his girlfriend had met Fincher and had told them that they could make some extra money if they worked on his farm
