Former death row inmate Richard Glossip is not going to trial again in his murder-for-hire case any time soon.

At issue is who will preside over his third trial. So far, his defense attorneys have asked three Oklahoma County district judges to step down from the case. Two have. The third refused.

Glossip, now 62, is facing a third trial because the U.S. Supreme Court reversed his 2004 murder conviction in February on prosecutorial misconduct grounds. Attorney General Gentner Drummond announced in June that Glossip would be prosecuted again but the death penalty will not be sought.
