The No. 24-ranked OU football team delivered a statement with its 24-13 home win over No. 13 Michigan on Saturday.

John Mateer led the way for the Sooners . The redshirt junior quarterback completed 21 of his 34 passes for 270 yards and three total touchdowns.

Mateer marched OU down the field on its opening drive and capped it off with a 9-yard touchdown toss to Deion Burks . He then ran for a 2-yard touchdown in the closing seconds of the second quarter to give the Sooners a 14-0 lead at halftime.
