LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — When Nye County's sheriff took a head-on approach to questions about the homeless in Pahrump, it didn't take long for the conversation to veer off the road.

Sheriff Joe McGill explained the reasons his deputies can't sweep the park or arrest people walking down the street in a video posted on social media on Aug. 29. Commenters jumped on the topic, asserting that Las Vegas police are bringing vagrants to Pahrump, and that it has been happening for years.
