CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The man accused of murdering a Charlotte woman and her unborn child pleaded guilty in court on Thursday.

Desean Maddox was charged in the 2024 death of Jameisha Wilkes.

Family and loved ones wiped away tears as prosecutors talked about Wilkes’ murder.

They said they were crying not only for Wilkes and the unborn child who were killed, but for the 7-year-old daughter who now has to grow up without a mother.
