BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A man has been sentenced to over four decades behind bars in connection with a shooting at a school football game in 2023.

On Thursday, September 4, 18th Judicial District Judge Tonya Lurry sentenced Jarrettin R. Jackson ll to 48 years in prison in connection with the death of Ja’Kobe Queen.

The shooting happened in September of 2023, as Port Allen High School and Brusly High School competed with each other on the football field.
