YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Sports Team 27 has confirmed that Friday night's high school football game between Farrell and Ursuline has been officially canceled.

Farrell Athletic Director and head coach Amp Pegues confirmed the schedule change.

According to Pegues, Ursuline head coach Dan Reardon reached out to inform him of the decision.

The matchup between the Irish and Steelers will not be rescheduled.

The Irish (2-0) opened the season with victories over Steubenville and Bishop Hartley.

It remains unclear if any other changes to the Ursuline football schedule will be made beyond week three.
