POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Winchester man that court documents tie to the suspicious overdose deaths of three women appeared before a Powell County Judge on Wednesday.
Brian Epperson, 44, was indicted on Monday, Aug. 25, on charges including murder, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and tampering with physical evidence. The charges stem from the suspicious death of 32-year-old Kristen Morris in May.
Investigators received a toxicology report over 20 days after her death. According to court documents, it showed that Morris had overdosed on methamphetamine, but her levels were unusually high.
He wouldn’t be charged in connection with Morris’ death until July, when police would find the body of a missing woman, later identified as Reacheal Dawson,
