LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The past is always present at War Memorial Stadium, not just the history of games, but also recurring problems with ticket scanners, air circulation and water pressure.

With a historic Arkansas–Arkansas State matchup set for Saturday, stadium manager John Latch said staff have taken extra steps to ensure fans’ experience matches the excitement.

“We start preparing for this game a year in advance, preparing for concession stands, making sure the facility is ready, painting the field, preparing for parking,” Latch said.

In 2023, concessions ran out of bottled water during a hot game against Western Carolina, leaving fans to refill water bottles from restroom sinks.

“We overorder in water every year to make sure we do not have that issue,” Latch said.
