HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A wanted man from Detroit with an extensive criminal history, including a federal conviction, was arrested on drug charges in Huntington, according to the Huntington Police Department.

Daniel “Bam” Leggette, 49, was wanted on a warrant for felony delivery of a controlled substance.

Police said Leggette was arrested after a brief foot chase in the Marcum Terrace neighborhood, which led to a search warrant in the 100 block of Oakland Avenue where the suspect was staying.

Officers seized a firearm along with cocaine, crack cocaine and fentanyl.

According to HPD, Leggette has an extensive criminal history with their department, including two separate convictions for drug trafficking, including a federal conviction from which he served a 90-month sentence.
