Road closures in place for wildfire burning northwest of Cusick

PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. -- Road closures are currently in place because of a wildfire burning 15 miles northwest of Cusick.

The Tacoma Creek fire is estimated to be around 1,200 to 1,500 acres with no containment.

According to the Pend Oreille County Sheriff's Office, the following roads are closed due to the fire:

Blacktail Mountain Rd at the Little Pend Oreille River crossing in the Little Pend Oreille NWR in Section 12 Township 35N Range 41E.

Olsen Creek Rd in Stevens County at the intersection with Flodelle Creek in Section 12 Township 35N Range 41E.

Ruby Creek Rd at the Intersection of Ruby Creek Rd and Tacoma Divide Rd in Section 11 Township 35N Range 42E.

Cusick Creek Rd at the US Forest Service Boundary at the borders of Sections 11 & 14 in Township 34N Range 43E.
