KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dina Gardner's job as a realtor takes her all around the metro, and inevitably, she says, that means hitting a pothole.

"Every year, it seems as if I have at least one damaged tire," said Gardner.

In March, she hit one near 50th Street and Brookside Boulevard.

"It blew two tires, one in the front one in the back, and then I had to have the entire car realigned," she said.

It cost her nearly $800 for the repairs.

"I was just fed up at the time," she said.

She submitted a claim against Kansas City, Missouri. The legal department denied it.

"They're not taking responsibility, and I think that's really terrible," said Gardner.
