PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) - Mercer County law enforcement officials have shared details on a recent shooting in the Princeton area.

Task force members arrested five individuals following an August 17th incident near Silver Springs Baptist Church. The arrests came about as part of Operation Rolling Waters - a task force effort meant to crack down on crime throughout Southern West Virginia. "This was a serious incident that placed innocent lives in danger at a time and place that people should feel safe," said Princeton Police Department Chief Ben Woodard.
