The Abbotsford Police Department says it is investigating a home invasion that appears to be a targeted incident.

Just after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to a residence on Myrtle Avenue near Lefeuvre Road.

“Upon arrival, officers discovered that a residence known to police had been forcibly entered by masked suspects who fled the scene before police arrived,” Sgt. Paul Walker said.

“The occupants were inside the home at the time but were not injured.”

The motive is unclear, police say.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who may have dashcam footage between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1 a.m. Thursday is asked to call the AbbyPD Major Crime Unit at 604-859-5225.
